1.0Uniformed Services
The Uniformed Services andthe Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) have designated thefollowing offices to receive injury claims (diagnoses codes as referencedin Chapter 10, Section 5) and Personal InjuryStatements (Department of Defense (DoD) Document (DD) Form 2527)for possible recovery under the Federal Medical Care Recovery Act(FMCRA). Select the appropriate claims office based upon the sponsor’sbranch of service and the state in which the accident occurred.Usually, that is the state where care was provided; if the DD 2527does not clearly state the location of the accident, the contractorshall assume that the accident occurred in the state where medicalcare was received. Jurisdiction for overseas claims is set forthin paragraph 2.0.
